I have not received any feedback on my application. What can I do?

Usually, we communicate your registration by email within 3 to 5 days after receipt. Weekends and bank holidays (especially Christmas and New Year) or technical problems may prolong our usual response times.

If you have not received feedback after a week, use the following scheme:

  • Check whether you have sent your application to “bio-gradschool@uni-koeln.de" or "application-dhd@uni-koeln.de” If not, resend your application.
  • Did you specify your email address correctly in the application form? If not, send us a mail with the correct address, your name and date of birth in the message text.

 If both email addresses are correct, but you still haven’t heard from us:

  • Use the email form under Contact to send an inquiry, fax us or call us (workdays between 9.a.m and 5 p.m. German time)

The confirmation of the receipt is the only confirmation we send - please do not send us any inquiries about the status of your application. Once you have been short-listed for a telephone interview you are contacted to schedule the exact date and time of the interview. 

The results of the first short-listing are known within 2 months after the application deadline. 

All candidates who don't hear form us within 2 months after the application deadline should assume their application was not successful. Official letter informing about the results will follow.
