Katarina successfully completed her Diploma in Biology degree at the University of Cologne. Since October 2009, she has been a member of the IGS DHD program. She works on her thesis project in the group of prof. Jens Brüning.

The title of her thesis project is  "Peripheral tissue specific role of Fto"
