Stefanie Wolters successfully completed her diploma degree at the University of Düsseldorf (Heinrich Heine Universität Düsseldorf). Since October 2009, she has been a member of the IGS DHD program.? At present, she works on her thesis project in the group of Björn Schumacher on the identification and characterization of genes impaired in DNA damage response pathway of the nucleotide excision repair. Furthermore, she wants to reveal the role of microRNAs in DNA repair mechanisms.
